At present all our staff carry out an
initial induction course which covers basic company policy,
rules & regulations, health & safety and legal issues
surrounding detention, apprehension, etc. Following on from
that we then put everyone through a recognised stewarding
course. With Solihull College we are currently training
all our stewards to complete the NVQ Level 2 in spectator
control. Any
course we do however will always exceed the basic standard
criteria set down in the UK, BS 8406 (event stewarding and crowd
safety services), and will always be to a minimum of level 2.
Staff are then selected to attend further more intensive in
house training and those that are successful are put forward to
attend a three day Supervisors course.
Following on from the introduction of the Private Security
Industry Act, all our staff attend a four day course to be
licensed as Door Supervisors.
Other courses that we currently deliver to our own staff and
also offer to other companies are:
-
NCFE Intermediate Certificate in Event
Stewarding
-
NOCN Level 2 Award in Door Supervision
-
NOCN Level 2 Award in Security Guarding
-
BTEC Level 3 Award in Community and Public
Safety Operations
-
MAYBO Communication & Conflict Management
-
MAYBO Control & Restraint Techniques
Our new, CCTV training
facility has currently just been completed and we will now
be able to also deliver comprehensive training for CCTV both
in house and to other businesses.
